Location
Iceland is located at the juncture of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. It is located close to Greenland at the latitudes 63 and 67 N and the longitudes 25 and 13 W.
Terrain
Iceland has various mountain terrains, in fact Iceland has been described as a mountain with the top worn off. Iceland has many plateaus interspersed with mountain peaks. Iceland also has many icefields as well as grass lands. In addition to that it has a high amount of coast land, being an island, that has many bays and fords.
Population
The population of Iceland is 320,000. This is a number that has risen in the past years, but is common for an island of its size.
The Flag
The civil national flag of Icelanders is blue as the sky with a snow-white cross, and a fiery-red cross inside the white cross. The arms of the cross extend to the edge of the flag, and their combined width is 2/9, but the red cross 1/9 of the combined width of the flag. The blue areas are right angled rectangles, the rectilinear surfaces are parallel and the outer rectilinear surfaces as wide as them, but twice the length. The dimensions between the width and length are 18:25.
Climate
Iceland has a mix of a sub-polar oceanic and a temperate climate zones.
Currency
Iceland uses the Icelandic Krona as its national currency. The symbol for this currency is the ISK.
